Gregory Boat Co.
Since 1906, the Gregory Boat Co. has served the Detroit Metro/Lake St. Clair area with distinction, and a long history of growth, development, and expansion. Presently occupying two locations, the company's north marina is located next to the Bayview Yacht Club, while its south marina is located across from the Detroit Yacht Club. The Gregory Boat Co., being the oldest marina in the area, is still family owned and operated. Scott Gregory, a fourth generation family member, joined the company in 1975, and currently guides the company through its next phase of modernization.
The Gregory Boat Co. is a very diverse enterprise. Being a full service marina, it currently offers wet and dry storage, boat brokerage sales, classic boat restoration and repair, engine "repowers"/modernization, fuel and marine products, and even a boating convenience store, all located along the Detroit River. The company's long-standing tradition of superior service and satisfaction, remains the primary focus in all customer relationships. Regardless of whether you're selling or buying a pre-owned boat, the Gregory Boat Co. is committed to representing their clientele with honesty and integrity, and will assist them in all phases of their transaction. In addition to offering appraisals, the company confers with the customer one-on-one regarding their personal needs/desires, assists the customer in securing any financing that may be needed, offers "target" advertising to promote any sale, and can also provide any repair or restoration service required to maximize a boat's value.
The Gregory Boat Co., with clientele traveling up the Detroit River from Maumee Bay in Lake Erie Ohio & downriver from as far away as Port Huron Michigan, continues to provide quality craftsmanship by a staff of experienced, talented boat enthusiasts. The marina's manager, Mike Gregory, indicates that in a tough economy, people are motivated to repair their used boats rather than purchase a new one. The Gregory Boat Co. is undoubtedly qualified to provide any type of restoration service. The company offers custom woodwork, custom painting, fiberglass repair, engine modifications, and much more. They can easily modernize your classic boat, giving it the feel and performance of a new one, while preserving and maintaining its "classic" appeal. A few of the company's recent projects include a 53' Hatteras (1973), a 53' Chris Craft (1955), and a 47' Chris Craft Commander.
The Gregory Boat Co., in addition to it's own website, is linked to Facebook and other social websites also. Local publications, mailers, and even the Great Lakes Scuttlebutt magazine, are a few other places where the company may be found.
